【hundred的用法】hundred的用法：
一、hundred用作基数词表示“一百”时,其前既可用a也可用one,但用a比较普遍,在美式英语中经常省去a或one 。但hundred用作修饰词表示“很多”时,前面一般用a 。
二、hundred前还可加two〔three〕...等表示数量意义的数词 。
三、hundred用作名词时的基本含意是“一个百”,如果是两个百以上,则须用复数形式 。
四、hundreds的基本含意是“几个一百”或“几百(个,人,元…)”,后接可数名词的复数形式或集合名词表示“数以百计的”或“许多的” 。
例句
1、Put two noughts after a seven to make seven hundred.
在7后面加两个零成为700 。
2、The allied warplanes bombed the country by the hundred.
盟军数以百计的飞机轰炸了那个国家 。
3、Hundreds have been killed in the fighting and thousands made homeless.
成百上千的人在战斗中丧生，并有成千上万的人变得无家可归 。
